Updates

Good morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We have been doing a lot of learning over the past week, so please check back for anchor charts later today.  We have Map testing next week, so attendance is very important.  It is a good idea to start kids off with a good night's sleep and eating a healthy breakfast each morning.  

This week in curriculum: 

We will begin by learning how to convert metric measurement, and then we will review all math concepts learned this year.  In English Langauge Arts we are continuing to work on cause and effect relationships, close reading and constructed response.  We are learning how to follow directions and pick out key words and phrases from the directions.  In writing we are learning more about how to punctuate dialogue and use apostrophes correctly in our writing.  This is a A week for writer's notebooks.  I will collect A week notebooks on Thursday this week with 11 entries.  We will take a two week break from writer's notebooks during the weeks of Map testing.  

There is no school on Friday! 

Math fact logs are due on Thursday. 

Hamby homework #10 is due on Thursday as well.
